The Isidora Tee will be your new favorite summer tee with its slight A-line shaping that’s easy to wear. A wide neckline creates the perfect backdrop for bright summer jewelry, and eyelet details at the hem and neckband keep it light and flirty.

Design Background

This top was inspired by my favorite knit tee to wear in the summer, slightly A-line shaped, relaxed sleeves, and a wide, open neckline, perfect for layering bright summer jewelry.  But I wanted to elevate the basic tee, so imagine it instead with lace sleeves, a wide lace hem around the body, and a sweet eyelet detail at the neckline.

Construction Details

The tee is worked flat in pieces, and seamed once all blocking is complete.  The front & back each start with a band of eyelet garter stitch that transitions into Stockinette stitch.  The neck band is shaped with a bind off row, and carefully placed decreases. The sleeves are knit flat and seamed into place to create the drop shoulder look.

Once the pieces have been seamed, stitches are picked up around the neckband, and the finishing eyelet row is worked.

There is a slight a-line shape to the tee to keep it a great layer for summer tanks.  The dropped shoulders create a neat look with the lace sleeves, and keep you nice and cool. This garment is designed to be light but with a slimming silhouette. The finished bust measurement features around 4” of ease for comfort, as well as to allow for the dropped shoulder look.
